Transfiguration of the Lord is the Sunday the church remembers Jesus' "transfiguration" on the mountain and the vision three of Jesus' disciples experienced. Following this story, Jesus turns his attention and ministry toward Jerusalem where Jesus will experience suffering, death, and resurrection.
